SJM Resorts is partnering with 10 local small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) serving global delicacies for its upcoming Kam Pek Market, which is scheduled to open between mid this month and the Lunar New Year.
The coming Lunar New Year falls on 29 January 2025.
The local integrated resort company announced in a press conference in August that the Kam Pek Community Centre located on Macau’s main thoroughfare Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro – also known in Cantonese as San Ma Lo – would be transformed into a 13,000-square-feet, 270-seat culinary hub called “Kam Pek Market”.
The tender result for the project’s first phase was announced by SJM Resorts in October.
Among the SMEs will be new startups and unique established vendors serving popular Chinese, Portuguese, Japanese and Korean dishes, according to a press release from SJM Resorts.
The 10 selected SMEs are Time To Go Home Dessert, Ba Fang Ying Mian Cuisine, Goat Bakers, Zhen Dim Sum, Pratunam 1982, Linji Curry Noodles, Kinnokura, Lok Fu Chiu Chow Cuisine, Haeundae Korean Cuisine, as well as I want Go.
The Kam Pek Market aims to become a central leisure destination within the San Ma Lo (Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro) district, according to the press release.
