Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) Rector Marcus Im (pictured, right) and Shanghai University of Sport (SUS) President Mao Lijuan (pictured, left) signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of the two universities at the MPU Campus on Thursday to nurture master’s degree students specialising in intelligent sports and health technology, as well as to cultivate talents for the “big health” and cultural and sport industries in Macau.
In addition, the cooperation agreement is meant to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the Macau SAR’s establishment, in line with the implementation of the “Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area” and to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between universities in Shanghai and Macau in talent cultivation and scientific research, according to MPU.
The signing ceremony for the “Agreement on Joint Training of Master’s Students between Macao Polytechnic University and Shanghai University of Sport” was attended by over 100 teachers and students from both universities
