The Health Bureau (SS) has urged everyone in Macau to wear a face mask to prevent the spread of respiratory diseases as the city is currently experiencing the peak of flu season.
People with respiratory symptoms like fever or cough are urged to wear a mask when going out to prevent simultaneous infections with other respiratory viruses as their immunity is weakened and they become more vulnerable to respiratory diseases. On the other hand, this can also reduce the spread of the disease.
Furthermore, others without any symptoms or illness are also encouraged to carry a face mask when going out and use it whenever necessary to prevent getting infected by respiratory viruses.
