The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will continue to organise its monthly “Sharing Talk on Adoption of Dogs and Cats” alongside local animal protection groups, with this year’s series scheduled to kick off on 26 January, the bureau has announced.
The talk series are aimed at promoting the dog and cat adoption service of the Municipal Kennel and raise pet owners’ awareness of their obligations.
Conducted in Cantonese, the monthly talk will be held at Mong-Ha Eco-Centre, from 10 am to 11:15 am, on 26 January, 22 February, 29 March, 26 April, 24 May and 21 June – for free.
Interested individuals can register to join these talks, co-organised by IAM and Everyone Stray Dogs Macau Volunteer Group, through Macao One Account. Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
Meanwhile, the bureau is also urging the public to show their support with actions and adopt animals instead of purchasing new ones to help more animals find new homes.
