The International School of Macao (TIS) recently held its annual music concert “TIS x RCM Charity Concert 2025”, in collaboration with Rotary Club of Macau (RCM), at the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Center, featuring performances by 133 student musicians and raising MOP 33,000 for the Cradle of Hope Association.
The concert aimed to raise funds for charity while showcasing TIS students’ musical talents, according to a TIS press release.
Under the guidance of TIS secondary music teacher Iris Chu, students delivered a vibrant array of performances, including solo acts, a clarinet quartet, brass quintet, septet and string orchestra, among others – spanning various musical styles, from the Baroque period to contemporary pieces, showcasing students’ exceptional skills and musical knowledge.
“I feel incredibly proud to see our students showcase such outstanding musical talent on stage. This is not only a reflection of their individual efforts but also a testament to TIS’s commitment to holistic development,” said TIS Head of School Lorne Schmidt.
“Through events like this, we nurture our students’ artistic abilities while fostering their sense of social responsibility,” he added.
