Christians across the globe celebrated the World Day of Prayer (WDP) on Friday. WDP is a global ecumenical movement led by Christian women who welcome everyone to join in prayer and action for peace and justice. The movement hosts an annual event that brings people together to a common day of prayer, which this year fell on 3 March, with the theme of “I have heard about your faith”, a passage from Ephesians 1:15. This year’s chosen bible verses are, indeed, Ephesians 1:15-19. The WDP has been held globally since 1926 and each year a jurisdiction is adopted to be prayed about. This year’s WDP encouraged Christians worldwide to pray for Taiwan.
