Macau’s Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) has successfully organised 19 local enterprises to participate in the 3rd phase of the “137th China Import and Export Fair” (Canton Fair) in Guangzhou, which concluded recently.
The 19 Macau enterprises participated in the five-day event with the objective of building partnership with international buyers, according to IPIM, who set up in the event a 180-square-metre Macao Pavilion to showcase the participating enterprises’ signature products from Macau and Portuguese-speaking countries, including souvenirs, wines, juices, sauces and coffee, among others.
During the event, more than 260 business matching sessions were arranged in the Macao Pavilion, according to IPIM.
Attended by more than 280,000 international buyers from 219 countries and regions, the fair featured around 31,000 exhibitors, including over 30,000 export exhibitors – a record high in Canton Fair’s history. – GNM
