The Identification Services Bureau (DSI) has urged eligible citizens to apply for identification documents electronically to avoid queuing as the numbers of applications for both the Macau SAR Resident Identity Cards and the Macau SAR Travel Documents have recently increased.
Holders of Macau SAR Permanent Resident Identity Cards aged 18 or above can renew their ID cards using self-service kiosks located on the 1st floor of China Plaza in Avenida de Praia Grande, DSI’s service area on the 2nd floor of the Macau Government Services Centre in Areia Preta, or on the 3rd floor of the DSI’s service area in the Macau Government Services Centre in Taipa.
In addition, those aged 25 or above can renew their Macau permanent resident ID cards by using the 24-hour self-service kiosks at the DSI’s electronic services area on the ground floor of China Plaza, the 24-hour self-service area at the Areia Preta government services centre, the Taipa government services centre, the Islands District Public Services Centre – Seac Pai Van Station, DSI’s self-service station in Seac Pai Van or the government’s 24-hour self-service area at Ponte Negra.
Furthermore, Macau resident ID card holders aged 18 or above can lodge their own applications for the Macau SAR Travel Documents online (via the Macao One Account app) or by using self-service kiosks – adults can lodge the applications on behalf of their underage children who are above 5 years old.
