The Australian Chamber of Commerce Macau (AustCham) will hold its “Anzac Day Dawn Service 2025” on the 3rd floor of Grand Hyatt Macau in Cotai next month.
The chamber has in the past few years held its Anzac Day Dawn Service at the Taipa Houses’ Amphitheatre.
Held on 25 April every year by Australian and New Zealander communities worldwide, Anzac Day originally commemorate the fallen soldiers from the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who gave their lives while serving in Turkey during the Gallipoli campaign, a military campaign in the First World War on the Gallipoli peninsula from 19 February 1915 to 9 January 1916.
Nowadays, the commemoration is held in honour of all Australians and New Zealanders who have served and died in all wars, conflicts and other operations, as well as the contribution and suffering of all those who have served, according to Wikipedia.
“Anzac Day is a time to remember and honour the brave men and women who served our country with courage and sacrifice,” AustCham Macau points out in its Facebook post.
The chamber’s Anzac Day celebration this year will start with the dawn service at 6 am (free entry for the general public), after which optional breakfast will be available at MO 210 per person. For more information visit AustCham Macau’s Facebook page.
