Around two dozen photos by Alex Chao Io Chong are currently displayed in an exhibition entitled “Unique Vision – Photography Exhibition” at the Creative Macau gallery in Nape.
Most of the photos show various parts of Macau with a few depicting other places captured by the artist, who says through the exhibition’s information leaflet, “Be a hunter in life, capture what you encounter in life at anytime and anywhere, match it with your own thoughts, take it as it comes, give it a soul, turn it into a work of flesh and blood and thoughtfulness, and put in the world.”
Meanwhile, Chao will give a talk at 3 pm on 16 March, sharing the processes, methods and creativity behind his artworks. The talk will be conducted in Cantonese.
Admission to both the talk and exhibition is free. The exhibition is open from 2-7 pm daily, except Sunday, until 23 March. For more information visit Creative Macau’s website. (Gilbert Humphrey)
