CREATIVE MACAU’S NEW EXHIBITION CELEBRATES FOUNDING OF PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA AND MACAU SAR’S ESTABLISHMENT 

CULTURE BUREAU CALLS FOR PROPOSALS FROM LOCAL ARTISTS TO JOIN NEXT YEAR’S 34TH MACAO ARTS FESTIVAL

CULTURE BUREAU ANNOUNCES SELECTION RESULTS OF ‘LOCAL CURATORIAL PROJECT’ OF ‘ART MACAO INTERNATIONAL ART BIENNALE 2025’ 

Creative Macau gallery will launch this Thursday its new exhibition, titled “Collective Journey”, which will be held in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China as well as the Macau SAR’s establishment, highlighting the 25 years of many achievements across the city since its return to the motherland on 20 December 1999. 

The exhibition features 100 canvases and a range of mediums that include painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography and poetry by Creative Macau’s members, with the artworks reflecting the development of creative industries in Macau throughout the past 25 years since the handover, according to Creative Macau. 

The participating artists are Ada Mok, André Lui, Angel Chan, António Mil-Homens, Alex Chao, Alice Ieong, Celeste C. da Luz, Cosmo Wong, Cristina Lu, David Chio, Eileen Li, Elisa Vilaça, Eloi Scarva, João Jorge Magalhães (SAH), Justin Chiang, Ken C. I. Chau, m.chow, Margarida Cheung Vieira, Maria João Das, mavin zin, Mic Hoi, Ohi, Sonia Lam, Susanne Leong and Zheng Yu. 

The exhibition will run until 4 January 2025. Admission is free. The gallery is located on the ground floor of Macao Cultural Centre (CCM) in Nape. For more information visit Creative Macau’s website
