The preliminary figure for Macau’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2025 expanded by 5.1 per cent year-on-year in real terms to MOP 100.38 billion, indicating that the SAR’s economy has returned to positive growth, driven by a strong recovery in exports of services, supported by surging visitor arrivals amid government efforts to boost visitation, as well as steady domestic private consumption, according to the city’s Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).
Meanwhile, the overall economic output corresponded to 88.8% of the total in the same period of 2019. – GNM
