The food safety expert symposium of the “Joint Efforts in Food Safety for Double Celebration” activity series was held by Macau’s Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) yesterday.
Representatives from China National Centre for Food Safety Risk Assessment as well as food safety regulation authorities of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau were invited to engage in talks and discussions on issues like latest policies on food safety regulation, impact of the development of information technology on food safety, as well as food safety regulation of prepared food in the different regions – in a bid to promote the technical exchange and cooperation on food safety between the regions and the joint improvement of the level of food safety management.
About 270 representatives from local associations, academic institutions, relevant trade associations, Macau’s six integrated resort enterprises and hotel sector, relevant government departments, as well as the food and beverage sector attended the symposium.
