The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) will gradually relocate the 11 macaques in Flora Park in the Macau Peninsula to Seac Pai Van Park in Coloane to provide the Old World monkeys with a more comfortable living environment, with the process to begin in early December, the bureau has announced.
According to IAM, the macaque zone inside Flora Park has been in use for many years and the cages in the zone have shown damage such as concrete spalling and exposed steel beams.
The bureau will relocate the macaques to the monkey pavilion (pictured) in Seac Pai Van Park, keeping them in an area separate from the other primates there. More details on this plan can be found via this link. – GNM
