FORMER DOMESTIC WORKER ANI EMA SUSANTI’S DEBUT COMMERCIAL FILM TO SCREEN IN HONG KONG THIS MONTH

HONG KONG SAR CELEBRATES 26TH ANNIVERSARY 

Indonesian film director Ani Ema Susanti’s debut commercial film, “Glo, Kau Cahaya”, will be screened this month in Hong Kong, where Susanti used to work as a domestic worker. The film tells the story of swimmer Gloria, an Olympic gold medalist, who is dealing with her life after losing one leg. It will be screened at the Cinema City at Langham Place in Mong Kok at 2 pm on 18 November, as well as at 12 noon and 2 pm on 19 November. Tickets are free by online application only. 

In addition, there will be a film screening and discussion with the director scheduled to be held at the City University of Hong Kong from 3 pm to 5:40 pm.
