SJM Resorts has recently launched its “Snoopy Winter Holidays” exhibition at its Cotai property, Grand Lisboa Palace Macau, on the first floor.

The exhibition kicked off on 4 December 2024 and will run until 16 February 2025, during which decorations and toys – among others – depicting Snoopy and other characters from the comic strip Peanuts also adorn various parts of Grand Lisboa Palace Macau.

Two giant Snoopy figures welcome guests at the resort’s West Entrance and West Lobby.

At the Snoopy Winter Wonderland on the first floor, a 3.2-metre-tall Snoopy, Snoopy’s iconic red doghouse, a Candy Christmas tree and colourful peppermint installations are exhibited.

In addition to photo opportunities with Snoopy and other Peanuts characters like Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus and Sally, fans can explore a limited-time Peanuts souvenir shop in the Snoopy Winter Wonderland area.

At Jardim Secreto, six whimsical giant figures of Peanuts characters await guests in a picturesque setting.

Moreover, Snoopy-themed delicacies are available at the GLP Lobby Lounge, while Snoopy and Charlie Brown will make surprise appearances at scheduled times and take photos with visitors throughout each day, during this period of festivity.

Concurrently, the local integrated resort company is also partnering with TurboJET to present “Hang Out in Macau with Snoopy @ Grand Lisboa Palace” campaign until 12 February 2025 and fans can enjoy a “journey with Snoopy between Hong Kong and Macau”, according to a press release from SJM Resorts.

During the campaign, three different types of vessels feature Snoopy decorations, offering a chance for passengers to meet with the giant Snoopy plush toy during their travel between the two SARs.

Additionally, a nine-metre tall giant Snoopy is showcased at the Macau Tower to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Macau SAR’s establishment.

Supported by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), SJM’s two-month-long series of Snoopy activities will also coincide with the celebration of Peanuts’ 75th anniversary next year.

Authored by Charles M. Schulz, the famous American comic strip was launched on 2 October 1950.

Meanwhile, the Christmas edition of “Snoopy Winter Holidays” will run until 5 January, after which the exhibition will transform into its Chinese New Year edition.

Speaking at the series’ launch ceremony at Shun Tak Centre in Hong Kong on Wednesday, MGTO Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes said, “TurboJET and SJM collaborated meticulously and employed Snoopy to create a festive atmosphere. In turn, more tourists are expected to visit Macau and expenditures will increase.”

SJM Resorts Managing Director Daisy Ho said: “As a key player in Macau’s tourism and leisure industry, SJM and Shun Tak have continually invested in diversifying the destination’s ‘Tourism+’ offerings.

She added, “With Hong Kong-Macau serving as a core demonstration zone for the region’s multi-destination travel model, we have partnered with industry stakeholders across the Greater Bay Area to co-promote cultural tourism, celebrate regional heritage and create a world-class travel hub.”

Ho also said: “[This event] showcases how we can effectively leverage synergies across our travel resources to drive regional tourism collaboration.” (Yip Kiu)
