The Guia Hill Military Tunnels have reopened after the completion of repairs, maintenance and exhibition set-up.
The tunnels were an important part of the city’s military defence system in the olden days, witnessing the transformation and development of Macau, according to the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM).
After the work completion, the military tunnels’ Complex A is now open to the public free of charge from 10 am to 5 pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
Due to some passageways being narrow and to keep the visiting routes unobstructed, visitors wanting to visit the military tunnels’ Complex B must register for participation in the relevant guided tour activity of “Taking a Walk through the Streets of Macao – Knowing about Macao” organised by IAM.
