Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) Rector Marcus Im (pictured, left) and University of Coimbra Rector Amílcar Falcão (right) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen strategic collaboration in developing the MPU campus in Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, with a focus on establishing “joint global campuses”.
In addition, the agreement between MPU and the Portuguese university is meant to support the Macau SAR Government’s endeavours in developing the Macao-Hengqin International Education (University) Town, as well as to celebrate the local university’s 45th anniversary, according to MPU.
Furthermore, the agreement is expected to foster a hub for international high-calibre talent, thereby advancing the nation’s higher education in the global arena.
