Hong Kong’s Chief Executive John Lee has launched the “Hello Hong Kong” tourism campaign, which will give out 500,000 free flight tickets to tourists from around the world, starting first with Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines. In addition, the neighbouring SAR will also be distributing 80,000 free airline tickets to its residents to travel abroad, with another 80,000 for residents of the Greater Bay Area in a bid to attract them to visit the city on their way overseas via Hong Kong International Airport, according to several media reports.
