The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) and local animal protection groups are organising the “Talk on Health and Veterinary Care of Pomeranian” and “Sharing Talk on Adoption of Dogs and Cats” this month.
In addition, the “Pet Preparatory Class – Pet Information Station” will tour different communities to promote the concepts of animal epidemic prevention and protection, adoption and being a responsible owner.
The “Talk on Health and Veterinary Care of Pomeranian” on 14 July will give explanations on the habits, common diseases, clinical symptoms and treatment methods of Pomeranian dogs. Registration for this talk can be done via the social media platforms of “Everyone Stray Dogs Macau Volunteer Group”.
Owners can also bring their pet dogs to participate in the talk on that day and have exchanges with the team of veterinary surgeons of IAM on site.
The “Pet Preparatory Class – Pet Information Station” will be held in the open area next to the Flower City Park in Taipa on 20 July. There will be game booths, hand painting and exhibition activities on site, and 40 lucky draw winners will receive MOP 200 worth of supermarket vouchers.
In addition, the services of adoption enquiry and vaccination against rabies are newly added on site. Owners can make a booking through the “Online Booking System” of IAM https://app.iam.gov.mo/iambooking in advance and they can bring their dogs to the activity venue near their residence for vaccination against rabies.
Meanwhile, those interested in adoption are welcome to register for participation in the two-session “Sharing Talk on Adoption of Dogs and Cats”, which will be held in the Municipal Kennel in Avenida do Almirante Lacerda on 27 July, from 10 am to 11:15 am and from 11:45 am to 1 pm, respectively. The public can register for participation via the Macao One Account free of charge.
