Local authorities have set up five channels equipped with an iris scanning system at the Macau-Zhuhai Barrier Gate for a two-week trial of the border checkpoint’s iris recognition system. The trial began on 14 August, with a number of registered volunteers. However, the government has not said when the system is scheduled to be officially implemented. People who want to participate in the test can sign up via the QR code (pictured) provided by the Public Security Police (PSP).
