The Guia Hill Cable Car will be closed for repair work, refurbishment and annual check from 22 April to 31 May, the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has announced.
The repair work will be carried particularly on the cable car stations as some parts of both the upper and lower stations have been worn out, according to the bureau. The repair and refurbishment works will cover the ceilings, floors, walls, supports, safety barriers and stairs, among others.
In addition, the base of the cabin navigation track and lighting system will be updated, while the annual safety check will include the overall facilities, high tower, steel cables, cable car cabins and protective installations. For more information contact the Civic Service Hotline at 2833 7676.
