Vasco Joaquim Rocha Vieira, the last Portuguese governor of Macau, has been in town for several days and today is reportedly the last day of his visit, the itinerary of which includes receiving an honorary doctorate from the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), a meeting with Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng, as well as visiting Hengqin, according to several media reports in Macau. Rocha Vieira was the governor of then Portuguese-administered Macau from 1991 to 1999, when he oversaw the city’s return to China.
