Seasoned Filipino beauty queen Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province, who came third in Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant, has become the winner of this year’s pageant.
The 27-year-old model and businesswoman with Filipino, Finnish, Spanish and Swedish ancestries was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2025 in Manila on Friday from among 65 candidates. She will represent the Southeast Asian nation in the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand in November, according to various media reports.
Manalo, who holds an accountancy degree from Enverga University, was previously crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2018 and she went on to represent the Philippines at the Miss International 2018, eventually coming second in the competition.
Last year, she represented the Philippines in Miss Cosmo 2024, where she finished in the top 10. – GNM
