As of yesterday afternoon, Macau has received four medals – 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronzes – in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. This year’s Asiad kicked off on 23 September and will run until 8 October. Around 180 Macau athletes have joined the event. Wushu athlete Song Chi Kuan secured Macau’s first medal, a bronze, last Sunday. The next day, 31-year-old wushu athlete Li Yi won the SAR’s first gold medal in women’s changquan competition. Another wushu athlete Huang Junhua bagged a bronze medal, while martial art athlete Cai Feilong won silver for Macau. (Wong Kin Ang)
