The construction of Macau’s fourth bridge between Taipa and the Macau peninsula is entering its final stage, and the city’s permanent and non-permanent residents aged 18 and above can now suggest a name for it by submitting their suggestions from 9 am today until 15 January. Participants can access the Public Works Bureau’s (DSOP) website and submit the proposed names through the Macao One Account. Each resident can submit a maximum of three names and must provide descriptions for the proposed names. Five names will then be selected for the Macau Government to make their decision on, with the person proposing the official name selected by the government to receive a cash prize of MOP 10,000. Launched in 2020, the city’s upcoming fourth bridge is scheduled to be completed in 2024, according to various media reports.
