Macau’s Identification Services Bureau (DSI) announced last week that Macau SAR passport holders must now obtain a visitor’s visa prior travelling to Indonesia, after the Indonesian Consulate-General in Hong Kong confirmed that Macau has been removed from the list of jurisdictions eligible for visa-on-arrival (VOA).
The Indonesian visa policy change has reportedly caused some complaints, starting from 22 November, about Macau arrivals being denied entry into the Southeast Asian country, according to DSI, with the confirmation from the consulate only received by the bureau on 25 November.
