MACAU’S FIRST MISS UNIVERSE CONTESTANT REACHES TOP 30

Miss Universe Macau 2024 Cassandra Chiu, the SAR’s first-ever representative in the beauty pageant, has finished in the top 30 during the 73rd Miss Universe pageant, currently ongoing at Mexico City’s Arena CDMX in Mexico. A record of 125 countries and territories are competing in this year’s Miss Universe.

Meanwhile, Denmark’s Victoria Kjær Theilvig was crowned Miss Universe 2024, while Chidimma Adetshina (Nigeria) and Maria Fernanda Beltran (Mexico) became 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively. In addition, Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand finished as 3rd runner-up, with Ileana Márquez of Venezuela crowned as 4th runner-up. (Gilbert Humphrey)
