Super Typhoon Man-yi is expected to enter within 800 km of Macau by early Monday (18 November), according to the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG).
Meanwhile, local temperatures are expected to drop in the coming week, with the lowest temperature predicted to be between 17 and 18 degrees Celsius from mid-week until the weekend, according to SMG’s weather forecast.
Under the combined influence of Man-yi and the northeast monsoon, it is anticipated that Macau will experience stronger winds in the coming week, reaching force 6 with gusts, with a few rain patches, the bureau points out.
SMG will issue the tropical cyclone warning signal accordingly. The public is advised to pay attention to the latest weather information. (Gilbert Humphrey)
