The weekly programme “Kumbang Toh!”, Macau’s only Indonesian radio show that began airing in 2012, will go off air permanently after tonight’s show, according to the show’s creator and host, local journalist Gilbert Humphrey.
Humphrey, better-known as Beto, is inviting all Indonesians in Macau to listen to the programme one last time tonight, at 98 FM or online via www.tdm.com.mo, from 8-10 pm.
The programme, which has been running every Sunday night, also features a 45-minute non-Indonesian segment.
Humphrey and his co-host Johnson Lee, a fellow member of Macau’s community of Chinese Indonesians (known locally as “Yan Nei Va Kio”), will invite some guests for both the Indonesian and non-Indonesian segments in tonight’s show.
“It’s been such an awesome 12 years, and we will surely miss hosting this show,” said Humphrey. “But it’s really time for us to move on to other things and commitments.”
He added, “We’d like to thank TDM Macau for giving us the opportunity to have this programme and also our listeners for the love and support over the past 12 years.”
