Belgium medicine Diprospan Injection 1ml batches U019788, U027875, U037539, W001030 and W026080 have been withdrawn from local market after manufacturer Schering-Plough Labo N.V. found stainless steel particles in those batches, prompting the company to recall them, Macau’s Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau (ISAF) announced recently. The bureau was notified by the drug’s local importer that has also immediately asked all medical institutions in Macau to stop using the batches. The product is a prescription drug used to treat inflammation, according to ISAF.
