Macau’s population at the end of the first quarter this year increased by 1,500 year-on-year to 687,900 due to a rise in the number of non-resident workers living in Macau, according to data from the city’s Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).
Of the entire population, there were 369,600 females and 318,300 males in the first quarter, during which the number of live births and mortality decreased by 106 and four, respectively, year-on-year, while the number of marriage registrations in the SAR decreased by 220.
