The 2023 World Beach Games in Bali has been cancelled by Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) after the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) withdrew from its commitment to host the games less than a month before the event was due to start, reportedly because the funding had not been released by the Indonesian government. The ANOC has indicated that there was not enough time to find another host who could prepare the games within such a short period of time.
