China has agreed to give fresh loans to the Philippines, totalling US$201.8 million for the Southeast Asian country’s key infrastructure projects that include bridges and flood control systems, with the bilateral agreements between the two countries signed on 4 January, during Philippine President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Romualdez Marcos Jr’s three-day state visit to China, which has also agreed to make available about US$218 million additional funds for future projects, Philippine Daily Inquirer reported.
