Nearly 60 works of art from mainland Chinese artist Fang Lijun are currently displayed in an exhibition titled “Fang Lijun Ceramic Works Exhibition” at Sands Gallery, which is located on the 6th floor of the Grand Suites at Four Seasons. Themed “Bone of the Bone, Flesh of the Flesh”, the exhibition is inspired by the Biblical story of God creating Eve with one of Adam’s ribs as it examines the idea that “bones and flesh are the origin of life and looks at their connection with the process of creation”. Grant Chum, chief operating officer and executive director of Sands China Ltd., pointed out, “Macau’s connection with ceramics and its export is centuries old, as an important port on the Maritime Silk Road.” Curated by veteran curator Luo Yi, the exhibition is open from 11 am to 7 pm daily through 24 June. Admission is free. For more information visit Sands Gallery’s website
