The first-phase revitalisation of the Iec Long Firecracker Factory site in Taipa has been completed and it opened to public on Friday last week. The site features ponds, a waterway and a 400-metre wooden walkway that was set up in the revitalisation project’s first phase, which got off the ground in June this year.
The first phase also includes a visitor’s information centre, a souvenir shop and an exhibition hall. The entire Iec Long Firecracker Factory site covers around 25,000 square metres. When fully completed it will include a cafe.
Admission is free. The walkway is open daily from 6 am to 7 pm, while the two revitalised buildings in the site are open daily from 10 am to 7 pm, The Macau Post Daily reported.
