The “Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2025” (Art Macao) will this year be held from summer to autumn, with the event set to present nearly 30 exhibitions across the city, according to the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).
Organised by IC, the mega international cultural and artistic event is co-organised by Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), Melco Resorts & Entertainment, MGM, Sands China, SJM Resorts and Wynn Resorts Macau.
Internationally renowned artist Feng Boyi serves as the chief curator of this three-month event – created by the Macau SAR Government together with various sectors in the city that brings together global creativity.
This year’s Art Macao is divided into six sections, namely Main Exhibition, Public Art Exhibition, City Pavilion, Special Exhibition, Local Curatorial Project and Collateral Exhibition, highlighting pioneering artists from a dozen of countries and regions, including contemporary masters Xu Bing, Ann Hamilton, Gregor Schneider, Bart Hess, Kasia Molga and Chan Hung-Lu, who will craft innovative artistic narratives, revitalise historical spaces, explore the community’s cultural tapestry and ignite the spirit of humanity, according to IC.
