The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) launched on 10 July an upgrade work on the green belt area of St. Augustine’s Square, giving an ancient tree there some extra TLC – tender loving care.

The work includes expanding the green belt to give the ancient tree’s roots more room to grow, as well as upgrading the area’s irrigation system. Part of the area will be fenced off during the work, which is scheduled to be completed within 22 working days since the optimisation project’s launch, according to IAM. (Kaira Sam)
