The Macao University of Tourism (UTM) held its “2025 Career Day” at the UTM Taipa Campus on Tuesday, with over 1,300 full-time job and internship vacancies as well as an alumni career sharing session.
A total of 65 organisations from various sectors – including 3 from Guangdong province and 2 from Hong Kong SAR – set up booths are the event, providing job details and employment information in Macau and the Greater Bay Area (GBA), as well as the latest trend in the job market to UTM’s graduating students.
The event aimed to provide a direct communication platform among students and employers, and to better prepare graduating students for successful job application, according to the university.
Meanwhile, an “Alumni Career Sharing Session” was also held on the same day, inviting two alumni as guest speakers: JW Marriott Hotel & The Ritz Carlton Macau Director of Revenue Strategy Frank Ng, as well as a former Director of Welcome at W Macau – Studio City, Joseph Kim.
Both alumni shared their personal career journeys, discussing the growth trajectory from being newcomers in the workplace to reaching management levels, as well as analysing the key challenges and breakthrough opportunities they faced along the way.
They also provided insights into industry trends and practice advice to the graduating students with the hope to help them smoothly transition from campus life to the professional world.
