IFTM CELEBRATES 28TH ANNIVERSARY

The Judiciary Police (PJ) has received reports alleging someone has posted an advertisement on a social media platform under the pretense of an actual store in Macau, claiming some “blind box” toys are available for sale at a low price. Buyers can access the store via the embedded link and pay with their credit cards. Once the victims entered a one-time transaction password to confirm payment, they discovered that the amounts charged to their chards were much higher than the advertised price. In the end, the buyers never received any product. The PJ reminds the public to remain alert when shopping online and always choose reputable stores, while also confirming the authenticity of online stores before proceeding to make a purchase. If you suspect of a fraud encounter, immediately contact the PJ via its anti-scam hotline (8800 7777) or the crime report hotline (993) for assistance.
