Manuel Alcantara Turner, a 22-year-old British army soldier with the rank of lance corporal, who served at the late Queen Elizabeth’s funeral as well as King Charles’ coronation, was recently crowned Mr England.

Turner is now scheduled to represent England in the upcoming Mister World 2024, which will be held at NovaWorld Phan Thiet in Binh Thuan, Vietnam on 23 November, when previous Mr England winner-cum-Mister World 2023 Jack Heslewood will crown his successor.

A total of 150 hopefuls joined this year’s Mr England pageant. Turner is the first soldier to win the title. He joined the army at age 16, according to various media reports.
