Macau’s Civil Aviation Authority (AACM) will implement an unmanned aircraft ban on the Macau Peninsula during the 34th Macao International Fireworks Display Contest, between 8 pm and 11 pm on 12, 19 and 25 September, as well as on 1 and 4 October.
The ban aims to ensure the smooth conduct of the contest, according to AACM.
The notice has been published in today’s Official Gazette Issue 36, Series II Supplement.
According to Article 66 of the Air Navigation Regulation of Macau, approved under Dispatch of the Secretary for Transport and Public Works No. 16/2026, except for unmanned aircraft operations authorised by the Civil Aviation Authority under an activity permit granted for performances and filming related to this event, other unmanned aircraft activities are not permitted throughout the event.
Groups or individuals who previously obtained an activity permit from AACM to operate unmanned aircraft on the above date are reminded that they must also comply with this no-fly ban.
Violations will result in penalties imposed by the Civil Aviation Authority pursuant to Article 59 of Law No. 4/2025 (Civil Aviation Activity Law).
