The Macao Foundation (FM) has recently launched its “Belt & Road” scholarship programme and its application period will run until the end of this month. The scholarship is open to local secondary school graduates with a Macau permanent resident ID card for bachelor’s degree courses, as well as to Guangdong and Fujian students who have just graduated from a bachelor’s degree programme at a university in Macau – for master’s degree courses. There are reportedly 20 scholarship quotas available for full-time studies in Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, Hungary, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Philippines, Portugal, Thailand or Vietnam, each ranging from MOP 60,000 – 80,000 per year, according to a report by The Macau Post Daily.
