IAM ORGANISES ANIMAL PROTECTION ACTIVITIES THIS MONTH

Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) Director Kong Chi Meng, Talent Development Committee Secretary-General Chao Chong Hang, University of Macau (UM) Vice Rector Ge Wei, Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) Rector Im Sio Kei, Macao University of Tourism (UTM) Rector Vong Chuk Kwan, Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) President Lee Hun-wei and City University of Macau (CityU) Rector Liu Jun visited San Francisco in the US from 27-31 May and met with several university leaders there, as well as Chinese students and scholars’ associations. 

The visit aimed to promote the internationalisation of higher education in Macau, attract more outstanding international academics and students to study and facilitate scientific research in the SAR, while at the same time reserving talents for industries developing under Macau’s ‘1+4’ economic diversification strategy. 

Led by Macau’s Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Ao Ieong U, the delegation also participated in the “US-China Bay to Bay Dialogue”, visited the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in San Francisco and held a two-session event titled “Development Opportunities for Talents in Macao, China” during their US visit.
