The Fire Services Bureau and the Association of Macao Youth Development won the Macau Standard Dragon Boat Race – Open Category and the Women’s Category (500m), respectively, in the “Celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Macao SAR – 2024 SJM Macao International Dragon Boat Races” yesterday.
Held from Saturday through today, the dragon boat event is jointly organised by Sports Bureau (ID), SJM Resorts and the Dragon Boat Association of Macao, China, as well as co-organised by the Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) and the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau (SAFP).
Meanwhile, both the Fire Services Bureau and the Association of Macao Youth Development also won the event’s Open and Women’s categories of the Macao Small Dragon Boat Race (200m), respectively, on Saturday.
The Macao International Invitation Standard Dragon Boat Race Open and Women’s categories (500m) and the Macao University Students Invitation Standard Dragon Boat Race (500m) are held today – the “Duanwu Festival” (“Dragon Boat Festival”) – with teams from mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia and the Philippines competing with local teams for the championships.
