Indonesia is this year’s best country in Asia for expatriates, according to a survey by InterNations, an online global network & guide for expatriates in 420 cities across over 160 countries and regions.
In addition, the Southeast Asian country is the world’s third best country for expatriates in 2024, the survey has revealed.
The “Expat City Ranking 2024” took into consideration “factors that matter the most” to expats, such as quality of life, ease of settling in, working abroad, personal finance and expat essentials, according to InterNations.
Coming first and second on the Top 10 Best Countries for Expats in 2024 are Panama and Mexico, respectively. The remaining countries on the list are Spain (4th), Colombia, Thailand, Brazil, Vietnam, Philippines and the United Arab Emirates (10th).
Meanwhile, the Bottom 10 Countries for Expats in 2024 are: United Kingdom (44th), Ireland, Malta, Italy, Norway, Canada, Germany, Finland, Türkiye and Kuwait (53rd), according to the Expat City Ranking 2024. (Gilbert Humphrey)
