CHIEF EXECUTIVE-DESIGNATE SAM HOU FAI SAYS NEW GOVERNMENT TEAM TO FOCUS ON UNITY, INTEGRITY AND INNOVATION AS  

UNMANNED AIRCRAFT ACTIVITIES BANNED DURING TOMORROW’S TORCH RELAY FOR 15TH NATIONAL GAMES (MACAU)

Chief Executive-designate Sam Hou Fai said recently he will lead the sixth-term Macau SAR Government with the philosophy of “Striving Together, Upholding Integrity and Innovating”, with the aim of pushing forward the work of most concern to the public, while continuing to advance key initiatives crucial for the city’s long-term development. 

He made the remarks during a press conference at the Government Headquarters on Sunday morning. 

The press conference was also attended by the designated principal officials and the Prosecutor-General appointed to serve in the sixth-term government, which will be inaugurated on 20 December. 

The newly-appointed officials for the sixth-term Macau Government are:

  • Cheong Weng Chon serves as the Secretary for Administration and Justice
  • Tai Kin Ip serves as the Secretary for Economy and Finance
  • Wong Sio Chak serves as the Secretary for Security
  • O Lam serves as the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture
  • Tam Wai Man serves as the Secretary for Transport and Public Works
  • Ao Ieong Seong serves as the Commissioner Against Corruption
  • Ao Ieong U serves as the Commissioner of Audit
  • Leong Man Cheong serves as the Commissioner General of the Unitary Police Service
  • Adriano Marques Ho serves as the Director-General of the Macao Customs Service
  • Chan Tsz King serves as the Public Prosecutor-General

During Sunday’s press conference, Sam also announced Deputy Chief of the Office of the President of the Court of Final Appeal Chan Kak will be the Chief-of-Office of the Chief Executive’s Office. 

He pointed out in the press conference that with the strong leadership of the Central Government and the robust support from the country, Macau will undoubtedly achieve high-quality development, provided that it fosters social consensus, strengthens its capabilities, and encourages confidence and innovation.

Such efforts will write a new chapter in the successful practice of “One Country, Two Systems” with Macau characteristics, he added. 

Meanwhile, the new principal officials have pledged to devote their utmost effort to realise the new-term government’s vision of “Striving Together, Upholding Integrity and Innovating” as they serve the Macau SAR and the country.
