World-renowned Chinese pianist Lang Lang will perform together with Macao Orchestra in “Galaxy Music Gala: Lang Lang and Macao Orchestra” that will take place at Galaxy International Convention Center (GICC) in Cotai on 19 January.
Hailed as one of the most captivating artists of our time, Lang Lang possesses a virtuosity that is unparalleled in this world. An inspiration in every sense of the word, Lang Lang has performed sold out recitals and concerts in every major city, bringing new depth to the masterpieces of musical greats.
In this music gala, organised by Galaxy Macau, he will immerse the audience in the intricate beauty of Chopin’s Mazurkas and he will join hands with the local orchestra, under the baton of Macao Orchestra’s Music Director and Principal Conductor Lio Kuokman, for a riveting rendition of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2.
The meticulously curated program also includes the Orchestra’s performance of poignant masterpieces such as Shostakovich’s Festive Overture and Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana.
