Air Asia Philippines will resume its direct flights between Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) and Macau International Airport (MIA), as well as between the Philippine island province famous for its beaches and the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur in November, according to a report by Cebu Daily News Inquirer.

The resumption of Air Asia’s direct Macau-Cebu and Kuala Lumpur-Cebu routes is set to take place on 15 November, with the aim to restore convenient access between Cebu and the two cities after the routes were suspended during the Covid-19 pandemic, the report pointed out.

Furthermore, the two flights’ resumption is also expected to further broaden the “opportunities in the tourism sector” and help create job opportunities, said Air Asia Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Suresh Bangah. (Gilbert Humphrey)
