Representatives from Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM) participated in the Macau Tourism Promotion and Industry Networking Event organised by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) in Seoul, South Korea from 28-30 May, during which they exchanged views and discussed future route development and tourism products with representatives from the tourism industries of Macau and South Korea, according to a CAM press release.
During their time in South Korea, CAM representatives also visited Korean Air’s headquarters in Seoul, where they were received by Korean Air’s Passenger Network Department’s Head Sung-Won Hwang and his team.
Both sides held a meeting to discuss the preparations for the Macau-Seoul route launch in July, with the Korean Air side also sharing about their future plans for the Macau market.
Korean Air aims to utilise its route network to attract new customers to Macau and enhance the destination options available at the Macau International Airport.
Furthermore, Korean Air also confirmed the inauguration of the Seoul-Lisbon route in September, which will allow travellers from Macau to fly to Portugal on Korean Air with a six-hour layover in Seoul and through-checked baggage.
Meanwhile, the Korean Air network connections to the United States, Europe and other regions of the world will be further facilitated, making travel more convenient for passengers using the Macau International Airport, and this is also expected to attract more international visitors to Macau, according to the press release.
